Product Network Licence configuration

Introduction

On first launch, our applications search the local Subnet for a Sentinel Server. Once found the licence settings are then saved for future reference. However if the Sentinel Server is not found, the licence unavailable dialogs are displayed. In this case, further details must be provided as detailed below.

Please review the appropriate section below for details on each application network licence configuration.

S3GRAF

If the Sentinel server cannot be identified by S3GRAF, or the wrong Sentinel server is automatically selected by S3GRAF at first launch, the following dialog will be displayed:

In this case click on the Licence button followed by the Network button and enter the Sentinel Server name in the 'Contact Server List' field as indicated below:

Ensure the ‘Override Standalone Licence’ is checked and the correct server name is in the ‘Contact Server list’, as it appears in WLMAdmin.

S3GRAF must be restarted after these changes.

S3control

To ensure installations of S3control can utilise these network licences, please follow these steps:

1. Launch S3control
2. If the S3Control Licence locator dialog is not displayed, click on the File - Licensing options followed by licence
3. Click on the Network tab::
   
4. Ensure the ‘Override Standalone Licence’ is checked and the correct server name is in the ‘Contact Server list’, as it appears in WLMAdmin. The Sentinel Server name  should be the full hierarchical name of the workstation the Sentinel server is running on.
5. Click on OK to close this dialog and restart S3control.

S3quickbuild

To ensure installations of S3quickbuild can utilise these network licences, please follow these steps:

1. Launch S3quickbuild to display the warning dialog:
   
2. Click on OK to close this and display the Licence unavailable dialog
3. Click on Licence followed by Network. buttons
4. Enter the Sentinel Server name in the ‘Contact Server List’ field and select the ‘Override Standalone Licence’ check box:
   
5. Click on OK to Close this dialog. Then start S3quickbuild

S3schedule

To ensure installations of S3schedule can utilise these network licences, please follow these steps:

1. Launch S3schedule to display the Licence unavailable:
   
2. Click on the Licence button, then the Network tab.
3. Enter the Sentinel server name in the ‘Contact Server’ field and select the ‘Override Standalone Licence’ check box:
   
4. Click OK to close this dialog.Then restart S3schedule

S3chembuild

To ensure S3chembuild can utilise these network licences, please follow these steps:

1. Launch S3chembuild to display:
   
2. Click on the Licence button then the network tab.
3. Enter the Sentinel server name in the ‘Contact Server’ field and select the ‘Override Standalone Licence’ check box:
   
4. Click on OK and Close to close  this dialog. Then restart S3chembuild
