Removing Components from the Sentinel Server using WlmAdmin

Introduction

As part of the administrative duties, expired or older versions of licence components can be removed from the Sentinel Server using the WlmAdmin application. This application is the standard application used to administer the Sentinel Server.

Licence Removal Procedure

The network licences and components can be removed from the Sentinel server by using the WlmAdmn application.

Note:

There may be multiple 'Lic #' folders under each licence component. However 'Lic 0' is always the most recent.

All must be removed to remove this feature from the Sentinel Server.

All licence components can be removed by following the procedure below. In this example, the S3GRAFHPG 2019 component will be removed, but this is the same procedure for all features and component versions:

Please follow the steps below to complete this:

1. Launch WlmAdmin, expand the licence component in the treeview and highlight the 'Lic #' component to be removed:
   
2. Right click on this and select 'Remove License from server and file':
   
3. Select Yes at the 'Are you sure prompt?':
   
4. The component will be removed from the treeview:
   
   Note the treeview will rebuild after components are removed.

When S3GRAF 2019 is now launched, the S3GRAFHPG 2019 component is no longer available:

The remaining licence features can be removed by following a similar procedure for each.
