Introduction
The Sentinel USB pro dongle allows our products to be launched from various workstations or laptops without either network licences hosted on a Sentinel server or standalone licences being generated for each system. In this case, the licence file provided is specific to the USB Pro dongle and the application being utilised. This licence file should be installed on each system by following the standalone licence installation procedure provided by Sciencesoft Support.
Sentinel USB Pro driver installation
The Sentinel Dongle will be provided to the postal address of your company. To ensure this can be utilised on each workstation/laptop, the correct Sentinel Driver must be downloaded and installed.
Note An account with local administrative access must be used to install this driver.
- Install our products on the workstations that will be used to run this application if not already installed.
- Install the USB Dongle on any workstation that will be running our applications
- in systems running Windows 7 operating systems, we have found that the Sentinel Dongle driver will be installed automatically. However for systems running Windows 10, the driver must be downloaded and installed using an account that has administrative access. in this case, the latest Sentinel Driver can be downloaded from the following link:
or alternatively, the driver version 7.5.9 can be saved from the attachment at the end of this document
This should then be installed using an account that has local administrative access to the workstation.
The drivers will be required to be installed on all workstations running our products and the Sentinel Dongle.
